England

Ruins

Ludlow Castle, from the eleven hundreds is ruined now but somehow that only makes it even more impressive. The cylindrical chapel, fireplaces left high up on the ruined walls, broken doors and claustrophobic spiral staircases and that stunning view; we haven’t been anywhere so obviously ‘British’ since we have been back. It was amazing. Apparently they hold Shakespear plays in the open air each summer, it must be brilliant, I think this year is Othello.
