Well, our team seems to be falling apart a little at the moment, there were only 2 of us walking again this week. We did 43k in the fierce sunshine and the heat, across the South Downs from Amberley to Hassocks. The scenery was amazing, with the sea on our right, and the stunning countryside (with slight London smog) on our left. We walked 4 of the stages that we will likely cover in darkness on the actual event so it was good to familiarise ourselves with the route. Both of us got a little burnt in the sun and I think I got a touch of heat-stroke. I also had a rather painful back problem when I woke on Sunday meaning a whole day on my back and a terrible night’s sleep. To be quite honest, I am not 100 percent sure this team will make it to the start-line, let alone the finish…!
We are hoping to have an emergency meeting to find out what is happening with everyone.
