On my route from London Bridge to Clerkenwell this morning I went past the new shopping development at One New Change by St Paul’s Cathedral as I occasionally do. I was slightly later than normal today though and so the butchers at the Jamie Oliver shop were hard at work, happily chopping and chatting in their narrow store that runs right alongside Watling Street. It is an amazing looking little shop with the most impressive meat-aging display case I have ever seen. They sell very carefully sourced meat and aim to make best use of as much of the animal as possible. The restaurant Barbecoa upstairs got a pretty average review in the Metro a few weeks ago but I can’t really imagine it being anything other than amazing.
