We had a late lunch with rye bread from St John’s Bakery, thin sliced beef from Borough Market and a Black IPA from a small beer seller in Bermondsey, The Kernel Brewery. Another of our morning discoveries under one of the arches, a passionate, kind woman had a table-full of 7 beer types; different each Saturday depending on what they have brewed that week. These are all quite strong, both in flavour and alcohol content. Lovely beer though and nice to know about because although they are not cheap, good beer like this lasts longer because you really want to enjoy it slowly.
