Chicago O’Hare Airport

Initially, our arrival at Chicago signaled a certain amount of relief; service on American Airlines was some of the worst I have experienced and our seats were painfully close to the noisy stewardess pair with an apparent work-allergy. They sat for the majority of the flight loudly complaining about friends and colleagues, eating chocolate and reading magazines.

I got off the plane exhausted, only to be met by an unfriendly and aggressive Mr Ho at passport control to put my bad flight experience into perspective. It was probably because we were so tired (what time it was, we didn’t have a clue), we couldn’t wait to get onto the next flight (BA) and out of America…

Luckily I had a window seat as the view from the plane was amazing as we crossed Chicago and Lake Michigan at night although I didn’t learn the optimum settings on my camera until it was too late…
