Peter Zumthor Serpentine Pavilion

It’s quite easy to describe this year’s Serpentine Pavilion. It is a black rectangular box that has multiple entrances, inside there is a layer of dark corridor that runs around the edge of the building, in the centre is a long courtyard with a beautiful, dense, luscious garden. It is designed by Peter Zumthor (architecture) and Piet Oudolf (garden).

No architect-ego, no unnecessary details, simply a beautiful place to sit with a coffee, talk, and reflect on a stunning garden. I am sure we will re-visit this place many many times over the course of this summer…
