We wrote before about the trend for using ever more unusual locations as temporary event spaces; we visited another today. Following directions, we turned off Peckham High Street, walked down an alley behind the cinema and into a multi-storey car-park. We climbed the stairwell as high as we could go, then walked up the car-park ramps until we got to the roof. The contrast was incredible, after a dark and slightly intimidating arrival, we were suddenly in beautiful sunshine, standing on a Peckham rooftop, looking north across the whole of London.
This beautiful temporary cafe (designed by Practice Architecture) has been around for a while but we have never managed to visit, it is only around for the rest of this month so try to see it before it’s gone if you can.
