Reflections

We had seen a great many of Koinobori, Children’s Day fish kites, on our travels but as we left Yakumo village, we passed through a real stop-the-car scene… Not only were the numbers of fish overwhelming but the reflections in the rice fields were incredible also.

This is my entry to J-Festa’s May submissions.

  1. fabulous shots! You have captured spring time rural japan perfectly, i can almost smell the rain and damp soil! I used to love driving around in the countryside and being surprised by the colourful koi flags that hung in quiet unassuming places, just wonderful!
